Renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. graduated from Yale and attended one year of law school at Stanford before joining the family business. He learned about golf at Winged Foot Golf Club from the legendary Tommy Armour and worked alongside his father Robert Trent Jones Sr. on the Spyglass Golf Course in Pebble Beach.
In 1972 he set out on his own by founding Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects. He has designed over 300 courses in 50 countries. Bob respects and embraces the land in his work. His mantra is “listen to the land.” He served on the California State Parks and Recreation Commission and was elected its chair in the 1980s.
Bob is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the 2024 Donald Ross Award which is presented to a person who has made a significant contribution to the game of golf and the profession of
golf course architecture.
Bob is also an accomplished author, journalist and poet.

Barbara Creed graduated with honors from Wellesley College and magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law. She practiced law with Pillsbury Madison & Sutro in San Francisco where she became
the employee benefit group’s managing partner. She later moved her practice to Trucker Huss APC. Barbara was named to the Best Lawyers in America list and California Superlawyers. She became an inactive
member of the State Bar in 2019.
